This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 18 to me was the most challenging so far. As in other units we see language forms we have used all our lives, but could never label. Modal verbs add meaning to main verbs. They express such ideas as obligation, possibility, permission, ability or advice. Active and passive voices can express the same idea, but alter the importance of the agent. Clauses are groups of words with a subject and a verb. Three types of clauses are Independent, dependent and Relative. relative clauses must contain a relative pronoun (who, which, that, whose, whom etc)and the placement of commas can be very important. Phrasal verbs are multi word verbs tat are made up of a verb and one or two particles. It is a good ida for teachers to use previously taught phrasal verbs in uncontrolled practice so that students will become familiar with their usage. Overall the most difficult unit so far.
