Unit 5 explained how voice, eye contact and gestures can be crucial to a class being successful.as an example using gestures can decrease teacher talk time while adding visual interest and can increase or decrease the pace of the class.
The unit also covered grouping of students and the pros and cons of groping. From the explanation I came away with the knowledge that although all have place during the days lesson it was very advantageous to maintain a higher degree of pair and group work. This increased STT and lower TTT a positive outcome for the student.
The unit also covered ways of establishing rapport with students and ways of managing inevitable behavior problems.
