To help make lessons more engaging and interesting to students, and to give variation from text book ideas, there are quite a number of teaching aids that can be used. Depending on the resources of the school, the following aids may be available: Black or white board, OHP, IWP, worksheet and work cards, video or cassette player, video camera, computer and other visual aids, including dictionaries and resource books. Visual aids help to grasp the students attention, stimulate the imagination by bringing the outside world into the classroom, they can be helpful for the memory and to aid in putting a topic in context.
