This unit introduced different methodologies that a teacher will be using depending on where their students are in learning the language. An approach that was emphasized in this lesson, was ESA - Engage, Study, and Activate. The unit delved into different techniques that can be used for each stage and specified which techniques were better for elementary students or more advanced students. There was also a section that broke down the different ways that teachers can help students realize their errors and mistakes with as little assistance as possible. The unit emphasized letting the student realize their error or allowing other students to help the student fix their mistake, before intervening with corrections.
