I'm surprised that I found this unit challenging, given that English is my native language. It is a reminder that I have to fine tune these skills in order to better understand how to teach it. I think these aspects of language are taken for granted since we don't automatically think in these terms, we just instinctively know how to speak and when to use the proper tenses, which makes it challenging to understand how a new learner might struggle when learning a new language. I do feel that this unit could have been much longer in length and outlined the \"key difference\" between all tenses. This would lead to easier memorization of the tenses and enable me to quickly identify when to use the appropriate tense.
