The lesson plan will be indispensable for a beginner English teacher like me, it will keep me on track with my teaching objectives and give clarity to the individual class as well as help structurally in the development of a course of classes. The plans should be flexible enough to allow room for extended periods where a topic needs more time than expected or where the students are really engaged to continue with an area of study...The plan can be used as a reference when needed and as a guide to keep us on target for the study objectives of the class. As a record of what we have covered it will be very useful for future planning and also should a substitute teacher be needed.
