This unit was all about the different equipment, teaching aids and resources that are used in the classroom to teach ESL students. I learned that there are lots of different resources, both physical and also through the internet that can be used to enhance the teaching experience and the learning experience for students. I also learned that mixing up what aids and methods are used keeps students interested and engaged. Some of the best resources are technology-related so it is important to make sure that the proper use of technology is understood and also that in-class technology like overhead projectors or smartboards are tested before class to ensure they will work during the lesson and I also learned it's important to have a backup plan in the case the technology malfunctions so you can still teach the lesson without it.
