This unit touches on the pros and cons of two forms of teaching subject matter. It mentions how useful rigid curriculums can be while also emphasizing the need for spontaneity and course work personalized for individual students. It also talks a great deal about the tendencies of students that are the effect of these different teaching methods. I personally prefer created material as it allows me to more closely monitor my student's progress and make sure they aren't facing anything they can't handle. It also makes my understanding of the course more thorough which allows me to be more versatile in these situations.
