This unit is about past tenses. In past tenses there are past simple, past continuous, past perfect, past perfect continuous. They are used in different form and usage. For past simple, it is used when the time is asked about, the action clearly took place at a definite time, and for a past action when the time is given. Past continuous is used in descriptions, expressing an action, which began before that time and probably continued after it. For past perfect is used in completely finished actions, actions that occured before other actions in the past. And pas perfect continuous is used in situations in the past that had been going on continuously up to the past moment.
