This unit discusses past tense verb forms, how they?re constructed, their usages, common mistakes and errors made by students, and potential ways to help teach them. The intro links the different past tense forms to present tense forms, showing their similarities. Just as there is in present tense verbs, there are four types of past tense verb forms: past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. Past simple is formed similar to present simple, past continuous is formed similar to present continuous, and so on. This was a helpful review of these verb forms and also helpful to understand the complexity that could be confusing or challenging for new English learners.
