In this unit, there were two videos. In the first video, the teacher taught very poorly. He didn?t know the students? names, was pushy, didn?t smile and give clear explanations. The students were intimidated and confused. While the second video, he taught very well. He knew the students names, he was animated, outgoing, smiled, gave clear explanations, spoke slower and more clearly. The students were happy, engaged and interested. I am more of a visual learner so being able to watch a good and bad teaching example helped me better understand and relearn the things I have learned thus far. In addition, I learned how to get students to participate well with very minimal pestering.
