There are a variety of potential problems we as English teachers may find ourselves facing. Some of these have to do with the nature of certain individual students such as those who use their native language or are reluctant to participate. Others are more based on group dynamics such as the size of the group or students being on different levels of English. The former two can be mitigated through proper interaction, the latter can be used to turn elements to advantages such as having group leaders or stronger students helping weaker ones. All in all, it is good to have an idea of what problems we may encounter ahead of time so that we can prepare ourselves all the better to avert issues in the classroom.
