This unit covers course books, and added materials that the teacher can bring into the classroom, the unit illustrates that though there are advantages and some disadvantages (relevance to the students)to following a course book, their are also added benefits of authentic and created materials. Authentic materials are relevant to the actual everyday life of the taught language, and created materials are interesting as they can be over and above what is offered in the course book, therefore provide extra stimulation and interest for the students and they can be chosen to be topical and relevant for the students being taught. I learnt about choosing the right course book, as well and what kind of extra teaching aids I could bring to the classroom.
