n this learning unit i have learned how to deal with potential problem situations.A new teacher will face the fact of meeting a number of new classes for the first time.You get two types of groups ,New groups and Existing groups.In a new groups the students do not yet know each other and might not be all that comfortable with each other ,Where as a existing group already know each other and feel comfortable.When a new teacher is faced with his/her first lesson he/she will not make use of the course book as yet,but will do activities and try to achieve the following;Establish report between students,Find out more about the students,Find out more about the students needs with English and to find out what is the level of English with individual class members.I have learned how to deal with large classes.One should make the use of pair work and usage of worksheets.I have also learned that the usage of the native tongue should be kept to a minimum.
