This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit talked about textbooks and supplementary materials for the classroom. I enjoyed seeing the different resources that that shared as far as games went. The matching game with two different ways to describe each job I thought was particularly interesting. It was also helpful to see a written list for evaluating textbooks. Level, student appeal (based on topic and pictures), and a variety of skills are usually my top criteria when looking for textbooks for my students. Although, price and availability are important as well. The book has to be accessible to the student both from a language standpoint and a practical one.
