Unit 8 focuses on explaining the future tenses. It covers future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, as well as be going + infinitive. To ensure proper understanding and distinctions between similar structures, the unit also briefly reintroduces present simple and present continuous tenses. Just like in previous units, unit 8 shows the basic forms, usage, and teaching ideas for the various different tense structures.
I found this unit extremely difficult to study, mostly because it is so similar to the units that discuss present and past tenses. I definitely understand why so many students can find English tenses so hard to master. While it is one thing to memorize rules and ways of usage, for the students like me who simply cannot be motivated to memorize large amounts of technical information, I think that the best learning technique would be repeated reading, writing, and vocal practice.
