This lesson discussed conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are statements that usually have \"if\" or \"when\" in them and require something to happen before another action can take place. Reported speech is when one relays something that someone else had said, either in the present or in the past. That being said, in everyday English, the grammar of reported speech is much less stringent. For instance, if a woman said: 'I want to sing on Friday,' it would be fine to say \"She said she wants to sing on Friday\" or \"She says she wanted to sing on Friday. I did not feel like the lesson acknowledged this.
