Unit 13 - Teaching Pronunciation and Phonology is one of the most neglected areas of English language teaching. This is because teachers are either not confident or experienced enough to teach. Phenology is hardly taught in schools or universities because teachers alone have difficulty teaching it. I found Phonology to be quite interesting and easy to understand, however, I can see why it would be difficult to teach. At first the characters looked confusing, but then when you start looking at it carefully, it was actually fun and challenging at the same time. I think pronunciation is very important in the English language because without it, we wouldn't understand what the other person is trying to say and may misunderstand the whole situation!
