This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The most interesting thing for me, that I learned while completing unit four was how to know when to use 'for' and 'since. Until now, I had always just operated on this instinct of when to use which, unable to explain to anyone my reasons why, as if it were just a fact of life. Now I know that the difference is whether the sentence or question is referring to a period of time or point of time. I'm excited to share this new information with students and my boyfriend, whose second language is English. I'm also glad to have a better grasp on the different types of present tense sentences, as even reading about this is confusing for me. With this unit in hand I feel better prepared to help others understand.
