This is a great finishing unit addressing the problems that we may run into with different class dynamics. I like the idea that we should not be obsessed with drilling grammar the first day of class. This is counterproductive as the students may be intimidated and uninspired by their new teacher. Getting them comfortable and \"establishing rapport\" will be more important in the long run. The use of native language in class, what it effects, and how to avoid it was also a good point. I will strive to really minimize my use of Chinese in my upcoming classes. I realized through taking this course that I speak way too much in Chinese and it is a disservice to the students.
