I learned a lot in the unit about the technical setups of the classroom and which styles work for different activities. The teacher's presence can drastically change the dynamic of the classroom: depending on the activity and how comfortable students are, whether or not the teacher is standing or sitting can have huge impacts on students' abilities to engage and discuss ideas. It is also very important to know how to manage and discipline students so that they get the best out of the experience. This unit provided many aids and examples on how to reduce teacher talk time, ways to set up desks for varying activities, and how to work best with students and build a good rapport with them.
