This unit has discussed how to design activities that specifically target productive skills. It seems that the activities used will depend, even more so than in other kinds of lessons, on the level of the students' English. For example, in terms of production, beginner students whose native language does not use the Latin alphabet will need to first become familiar with the letters and how to produce them clearly. High level students might write stories and essays and the lesson might not focus on vocabulary or spelling but rather on the nuance of English expression in different contexts. These are incredibly different skills, but the use of games, imagination, and engaging material will be useful in eliciting learning in students at any level.
