In this unit, I learned the structures of speaking and writing the English language and how to teach these methods to a class by using games and other fun activities. Some of these activities include hangman, crosswords, and dictionary and are great for building confidence in writing English. Games for speaking english could include discussions and role play activities. Another important element in the classroom is how a lesson is structured. Begin with more controlled activities to help build confidence in the students such as role playing, then move the roleplaying toward a more guided discussion, and finally, allowing the class to speak more creatively using their own English vocabulary and ultimately free role playing.
