It is important for all the English teachers to understand more about English grammar. Grammar is the rule and the system that underlines the English Language. As English teachers, we always need to be more alert to the flexibility, strength and variety of English. After studying this chapter, I think learning about the English grammar can give us the insight into the way of teaching students how to improve their reading and writing.
Some of the non-native English students cannot make a simple sentence. When we teach the students about the sentence structure, it is better to teach them how to separate the sentence into different parts of speech first. Afterwards, we can thoroughly explain the importance of each individual category in order to improve their writing and reading. Thus, non-native English students will learn English easily if they understand more about English grammar.
