The Tense System in this unit reviews over the seven future tenses. All of the tenses are used in speaking and writing throughout the english language. However, there are two future tenses that are used most often. The first most commonly used future tense is 'Be going + infinitive'. It has three main usages. It is used to express intentions, make predictions and future plans. The other most commonly used future tense is 'present continuous'. Its form is made up of the subject + will +be + verb + ing. This tense is used to predict what is happening now, and make polite enquiries.When teaching these grammar concepts it is important to recognize the common mistakes and why these tenses can be confusing to the students.
