I have learnt about planning lessons especially its important functions like: an aid to planning, a working document, a record. Basic principles of lesson planning are: keep it simple; do not try to script; structure it; write the anticipated time; balance of skills; keep it flexible. In order to be organised we should: check that we have a lesson plan, have all necessary aids and materials, check the equipment, lay out materials and arrange them, arrange seating, the board is clean, chat with students as they enter. Lesson plan should include: learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems and solutions, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date/time, teacher's and observer's names.
