Phrasal verbs are broken down into their three general types which are intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseparable.
I never realized that modal auxiliary verbs play such an important role in the nuances of English. By changing the modal auxiliary verb, the meaning of a simple sentence can change from uncertainty to moral obligation or even to necessity. I thought it was very interesting to see how the level of politeness within a sentence could be altered based on which modal auxiliary verb was used.
