Receptive Skills. We get into the notion of the 4 basic skills of a language. The receptive skills, listen and reading. This are the skills that help us absorb knowledge and information, where the information comes in. And the productive skills, writing and speaking. This skills allow us to communicate, express, and be creative. In this unit we focus on the receptive skills, and that all of them are equally important. The unit explain us how to approach to be able to teach them in a correct manner, making it easy for the students. We can achieve this by using interesting topics for the students, while using language, vocabulary, texts and audio's, that are non-authentic for the begginers, and move to authentic text/audio according to their progress, this way we can build the confidence of the students with real life situations.
