This unit focuses on how to evaluate students and assess their progress in a class. This is done in a variety of ways. One way is by giving tutorials at the end of a week to review work, to discuss aims, and to note students strengths and weaknesses. Evaluations can be given by students to assess course. The most effective way of getting an understanding of how proficient a class is progressing is by giving tests. These tests include- placement tests (to put students in their group level), diagnostic tests (to take at the beginning of a course to see what is known and was is not known), progress tests (to see how well the work is being covered), and external exams (as a final test at the ends of a course).
