This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In Unit 3 various EFL methodologies; usages of Elicitation; ESA structure and variants (Straight Arrow, Boomerang, and Patchwork) were explained. Ideas for each phase of ESA and methods of giving feedback and corrections were introduced.
I learned that in my own teaching experiences I have already been exposed to (and even applied) a number of the EFL methodologies without knowing their names formally. However due to my own experiences I do not agree with all of the ideas presented in the unit (for example when is appropriate to correct errors), which I understand that each situation may be different and the unit is aimed to be more general.
