This unit talked about three grammar language points making it a long unit study. First, we looked into the modal verbs. These verbs add meaning to to the main verb in the sentence. I could also be used to express different degrees in formality, certainty and probability. Other main usages include: advice, obligation, prediction, request etc. Next, we focused on the active and the passive voices in the sentence. When changing an active voice sentence to the passive voice sentence we retain the tense of the verb as well as the meaning of the sentence. We do this if we don't know who the agent on the sentence is or the said agent in unimportant. We also do this to change the focus or if we want to conceal the agent in the sentence.
Lastly, we learned about the relative clauses in a sentences and there two types.
