Teaching vocabulary is dependent on a number of factors including appropriateness to the lesson as well as how easy or difficult the new vocabulary is to teach. The vocabulary lesson should also be appropriate to the students' level of English. When introducing new vocabulary and grammar structures, students need to know clear meaning, usage and context. For grammatical structures, it is also important to point out differences that may exist between written and spoken forms, e.g. \"I want to...\" and \"I wanna\". The appropriate teaching activities should be employed in the different ESA stages to introduce the new vocabulary and encourage students to use them in various language functions.
