This unit14 was about course books and lesson materials. It discussed the various course books and materials a teacher can use in the classroom to enhance the learning of the students. This unit talked about the difference between authentic and created materials. An example of authentic materials are Magazines, song, movies, newspapers, etc and they are not designed for EFL students, but they can be used in the classroom with extreme carefulness considering the level of the students. Some of the examples of created materials are flashcards, crosswords, gap fill activities, and they are designed by the teacher to change or support materials from course books for the benefits of the students. It also covered the advantages and disadvantages of course books and the effective way a teacher can use them.
