There are many ways to conduct a lesson, however the best practices are those that students are fully engaged and active in the learning process. This has always been my personal belief, and this unit has given me full confirmation that it is the way to go. This unit taught me the various methods and techniques in engaging students to gain their interest in the lesson, ideas of introducing new concepts in lessons and fun activities to engage the students in encouraging them to use as much of the language as possible. Learning when and how to give feedback and make corrections is very crucial because this has a direct impact on a student?s self-esteem and confidence. All in all, I believe these methods should be practiced not only by language teachers, but also by all subject based teachers since it shows how to connect and engage your students in every aspect of the lesson.
