This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I learned about the productive skills, speaking and writing. There is a difference between accuracy and fluency, and what kind of activities are used to teach the students either accuracy or fluency. The controlled and guided activities will take place in the study phase and are focused on accuracy. The creative communication games take place in the activate phase and are focused on fluency. Writing skills are based upon handwriting, spelling and punctuation. I also learned about (creative communication) games in the classroom, and how I can incorporate them in my teachings.
It was very interesting for me to read that it can be a challenge for students with a different alphabetical system, to form English letters. There is a high change that I will teach students with a different alphabetic system, so it I will take this in consideration in my future teachings.
