This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Teaching productive skills- speaking and writing (including games) was the area covered in the unit twelve of this course.
Along with the receptive skills, the productive skills are very important in order to create an effective communication.
The first part of the unit was concentrated on the speaking skills.
The difference between accuracy and fluency activities in the classroom and the fact that both are equally important are ideas that I acknowledged. Another notions I studied about are: speaking activities in the classroom, encouraging students to speak and techniques to encourage interaction.
Writing skills were explained in the second part of the unit. I learned about the importance of handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation along with creative writing.
