In this unit, we have covered the parts of speech.The parts of speech includes nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, and prepositions and conjunctions. The unit also gave a detailed classification for each part of speech and how to use each of these classifications. For example, there are two types of articles: definite and indefinite article. The use of definite/indefinite mainly depends on which noun is being referred to.
In this unit, i feel that i have given a very simple yet very comprehensive review of the basics of English grammar. I have learned a lot from this unit because it is easy to understand and there are a lot of examples given. The definition for each parts of speech is also simple and direct. This unit is not just for those who wants to teach English but also for those who want to write well. Having a good grasp on the basics of sentence structure will definitely give me a good foundation in English grammar.
