Unit 9, in my opinion, is the most useful tool to future teachers during the TEFL course so far. It teaches us how to structure a lesson (individual or sequence) by showing the most important elements of a lesson plan and what those elements should contain. It explains step-by-step how to build a lesson plan, considering the learner objectives and the teacher aims. It highlights some of the difficulties that might arise while teaching the lesson and to focus on thinking of those and their solutions in advance. It also shows an example of a Straight Arrow ESA lesson to put the lesson planning process into context.
