This unit was very focused on the teaching aspect of vocabulary, grammatical structures, language structures, and language functions. In regard to teaching vocabulary, there are several things a teacher needs to be aware of. For example, how easy or hard the vocabulary in the next lesson might be or how to select the appropriate vocabulary for a lesson.
Grammatical structures are listed next and there are four requirements for introducing such. first, what the language involved means. Second how to use grammar. Third, how the written language transfers to the spoken language. And Fourth, the patterns, and formations of the language.
In studying this lesson I feel that my understanding of the English language has been expanded yet again. I also feel that the task sheet was particularly helpful in this unit because two of the tasks required creating lesson plans. I feel that those tasks gave more real life experience and ignited my excitement for teaching even more.
