In this unit, I learned about to manage a classroom efficiently and effectively. I learned that teachers can use different classroom arrangements and student groupings to achieve different purposes. In general, teachers should encourage more student talking time and avoid unnecessary teacher talking time. Rapport between the teacher and students is also very important. Students are more likely to contribute when the atmosphere is relaxed and they get on well with the teacher. Overall, good teachers must be able to inspire confidence and interest in the students, as well as able to be flexible according to the activity and situation without being dominant or leaving the students uncertain.
