Classroom resources are essential and valuable for teachers who must create fun, interesting, and educational classroom environments that engage their students' attention. The unit provides helpful advice as to how to use these materials most effectively in lesson planning and practically in the classroom. Using CDs and Video resources for example, are effective for motivating students and aiding listening comprehension skills. For example, a lesson (for young students) about marine mammals can be supplemented with a Youtube video. The Amazing Animals series by National Geographic has short, funny, though factual segments on different animals. Since the narrator's speech is fast, the audio can be slowed down using the speed function on the video player. Playing a video like this one will keep the students' attention and can help foster discussion about what they learned from the video in addition to the workbook and reading book materials to be covered during the Study phase of the lesson.
