Eric Haeg is the best teacher/presenter.There are 4 conditionals: Zero, First, Second, Third. And there are mixed conditionals where the second conditional and the third conditional clauses are combined. Students have difficulties seeing the difference between 1st and 2nd conditionals and also the 3rd and mixed conditionals. Some teaching ideas for conditionals include: split sentences, complete the conditional, chain conditionals. It is important to teach students the difference between reported speech and direct speech. When you repeat what somebody said you have to change the tense of the verb, pronouns, and time expressions.
