This unit offers two examples of a lesson. The second lesson is a good lesson and helps understand what is important for a good lesson. It is important to be friendly and use the students' names to make them more inclined to participate. It is important not to belittle students and give them the feeling that the lesson is very easy because they will then be reluctant to take part if they are not sure of the correct answers. Repeating the same word over and over is counterproductive as this will also make the students feel like they are stupid for not understanding. Instead, a teacher should use different explanations, give examples, mime or show pictures.
