Unit 18 provides an in depth explanation of modals, phrasal verbs, and the passive voice in English Grammar. The unit begins by explaining the basic rules of modals, and explaining what words it consists: can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have got to, need to, needn?t and ought to. The chapter then moves onto the passive voice, demonstrating the difference between the active and passive voice. After, the unit moves on to relative clauses, explaining its significance in grammar. Lastly, the unit ends with the Phrasal Verbs, explaining the 3 types of phrasal verbs and their respective roles in English grammar.
