Unit 19 focused on teaching techniques for special groups like beginners, individuals, children and businessmen/businesswomen. A noteworthy technique for all groups is to always use English ass the language of instruction because using a native language instead will cause a decrease in student participation. I learned that when working with children it is wise to use creativity in decorating the classroom with posters and cartoons to boost motivation. Another thing I learned is that learners of business English are typically referred to as \"clients.\" An important subject of this unit was needs analysis and its ability to identify strengths, priorities and intentions of learners. It is clear that unit 19 covers the teaching of special groups of learners and the needs analysis method.
