This unit covers topics on conditionals and reported speech, which are likely to be very challenging to ESL students. The forms and usages of five conditionals may cause confusion to the students whose native language does not contain such form changes and certain usages. I believe that the five forms of conditionals should be taught one bye one while it is acceptable that zero conditional and first conditional are taught together. It would be a good idea to have the students talk about their dreams, regrets and excuses and make their own sentences by using conditionals to begin the class. Through expected mistakes, they can learn the correct usages and forms and apply them in future.
