Equipment and Teaching Aids are commonly used in the classroom as a complement to the textbooks. The board (preferably a whiteboard) is the basic piece of equipment a teacher needs to effectively draw the student?s attention during a lesson. Equipment such as overhead projectors, cassette recorders, video cameras can also be used to complement course books, worksheets and dictionaries. However these are now being replaced by more modern technologies such as DVD players, interactive whiteboards, computers and other online resources, easier for the teacher to use and surely more attractive to the students.
