This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The content of this unit basically featured the four forms of the past tense such as explaining it sentence structures, giving usages and teaching ideas on (i) past simple (ii) past continuous (iii) past perfect and (iv) past perfect continuous.
From this unit, I learnt how to apply the principles to the four forms of the past tense. They were i) past simple (ii) past continuous (iii) past perfect and (iv) past perfect continuous. I also learnt new teaching ideas with activities on how to go about delivering/teaching the past tense system to my future ESL students.
In closing I learnt that one of the most important thing is to focus on the structure of the sentences based on the its principles and not on how a sentence may sound.
