In this unit I learned about the Engage Study Activate teaching style and various activities that could be used during each stage. I learned about how engage can help students not only review what they have previously learned, but helps a teacher see what the students should work on; how study helps students learn new vocabulary and language points, while the teacher may correct the students as this is the core new content of the lesson; and how activate is a chance for the students to show what they have newly learned and should also be corrected, but that the students should be offered a chance to correct on their own or between each other's work before a teacher is involved so that they can think about their mistakes. I also learned other teaching techniques such as task-based learning, audio-lingualism, and community language learning.
