This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
From this unit I have known how to deal with the reluctant student, how to act in the first lesson for the new classes, and how to cope with the different levels? students. Also, I have learned why we need warmer activities, this kind of activities are designed to get students motivated and using English. When we run across the students who don?t want to participate in class, it could be cultural or confidence reasons, we can encourage the students to speak in English through the following ideas: use plenty of pair work, use role-play or a tape recorder. In my opinion, a tape recorder is a very useful way to improve and encourage student who has confidence issues and seldom speak in front of the class.
